Troops Arrest Suspected Terrorist Informants, Logistics Suppliers in Borno.

Nigerian troops under Operation Hadin Kai have arrested several suspected terrorist informants and logistics suppliers during a series of coordinated operations across Borno State.

According to the military, soldiers working alongside members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) apprehended a suspected ISWAP/JAS informant in Mafa Local Government Area. The suspect is alleged to have provided intelligence to terrorists regarding troop movements and military operations.

In a separate operation in Konduga Local Government Area, troops received the surrender of a suspected ISWAP member. The suspect reportedly admitted participating in three attacks on Delwa community and claimed he disposed of his AK-47 rifle before surrendering. Security personnel recovered a bicycle, a cutlass, bicycle repair tools, and ₦6,500 from him.

Another suspected terrorist informant was arrested in Gubio Local Government Area. Military authorities said the suspect confessed to facilitating the June 16 terrorist infiltration of the community, during which a member of the CJTF was killed.

Meanwhile, troops intercepted suspected terrorist logistics suppliers near Road Kauji in Damboa Local Government Area. The suspects fled upon sighting security forces, abandoning supplies that included energy drinks, milk, soft drinks, veterinary medicines, two bicycles, and a canopy.

In a separate mission, troops discovered and safely detonated an improvised explosive device (IED) planted on farmland near Dagari in the Sambisa Forest area of Bama Local Government Area.

The military stated that the operations are part of ongoing efforts to dismantle terrorist support networks, disrupt insurgent activities, and improve security across Nigeria's North-East region.
