Pastor's Wife, Three Children Kidnapped by Suspected Terrorists in Borno.

Suspected Boko Haram/ISWAP militants have abducted the wife of a pastor and her three children along the Maiduguri–Damasak road in Borno State.

According to local sources, the victims were travelling in a commercial vehicle from Maiduguri to Damasak on Saturday when armed men intercepted the vehicle near Kareto village. The attackers reportedly ordered the pastor's wife and her three children to get out of the vehicle while allowing the driver and other passengers to continue their journey.

The abducted woman is the wife of Pastor Moses G. Guguma of the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN). She had recently been discharged from a hospital in Maiduguri after recovering from a prolonged illness before embarking on the trip.

Residents said the family's whereabouts remain unknown, raising fears for their safety. Some community members believe the victims may have been deliberately targeted because of their Christian faith, although authorities have not confirmed this.

Damasak, located in Mobbar Local Government Area of Borno State, has experienced repeated attacks by Boko Haram and ISWAP insurgents in recent years despite ongoing military operations in the region.

As of the time of reporting, Nigerian security agencies had not issued an official statement regarding the abduction, while residents continue to call for urgent efforts to secure the safe release of the victims.
