The Kaduna State Government has commenced the 2026 civil service confirmation examination for about 3,000 newly recruited civil servants across the state.

The examination, which began on Wednesday at the ICT Centre of Kaduna State University, is being organized by the Office of the Head of Service in partnership with Kumesh Integrated Concept Ltd.

Speaking during the exercise, the Head of Service, Mrs. Jummai Bako, described the examination as a key requirement for civil servants seeking confirmation of their appointments into the state's permanent workforce.

According to her, confirmed civil servants become eligible for benefits such as leave of absence, transfer of service, and in-service training opportunities.

Bako explained that the examination covers subjects related to public service, including administration, finance, law, medicine, and general knowledge of Kaduna State and Nigeria. She added that the questions are divided into different sections to suit various departments and professional cadres.

The exercise includes workers from ministries, departments, agencies, and all 23 local government areas of the state, excluding tertiary institutions. She also disclosed that candidates who do not pass this year's examination will have another opportunity to retake it in 2027.

The Head of Service encouraged participants to give their best, noting that confirmation comes with several career benefits.

She further commended Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani for approving funds for the exercise and for prioritizing the welfare of civil servants through salary improvements and prompt payment of workers' entitlements. She assured that civil servants would remain committed to implementing government policies effectively.
