Israeli Forces Wound Palestinian, Issue Demolition Orders for 10 West Bank Homes

Israeli forces wounded a Palestinian man during a military raid on the Qalandiya refugee camp, north of occupied East Jerusalem, on Sunday, while also issuing demolition notices for 10 Palestinian homes and structures in the occupied West Bank.

According to the Palestine Red Crescent Society, Israeli troops prevented an ambulance crew from reaching the injured man. The Jerusalem Governorate said soldiers fired live ammunition and tear gas during the operation, with tear gas canisters igniting a fire in a wooded area near the Qalandiya Technical Training Institute.

In separate operations, Israeli troops raided areas near the Al-Jalazone refugee camp and the town of Ajja, deploying armored vehicles and infantry forces. No arrests or injuries were reported in Ajja.

In Beit Dajan, east of Nablus, residents received demolition notices affecting 10 homes and agricultural structures, including a poultry facility. Local officials said the targeted buildings are located in the town's central and eastern areas.

The Israeli military had not issued an official statement on the raids or demolition notices at the time of reporting.

The developments follow heightened tensions in the occupied West Bank after deadly violence near Nablus on Friday, where four Palestinians and two Israelis were killed. Israeli forces subsequently imposed restrictions around Nablus, conducted mass arrest operations, and announced preparations for a broader military campaign across the territory.

According to Palestinian officials, at least 1,182 Palestinians have been killed, thousands injured, and approximately 24,000 detained in the occupied West Bank since October 2023.
