Israel Carries Out New Blasts in Southern Lebanon Despite Ceasefire Framework.

The Israeli military carried out fresh attacks in southern Lebanon on Friday, targeting the town of al-Mansouri and carrying out controlled explosions in the nearby village of Majdal Zoun, according to Lebanese state media.

The blasts, which were reportedly heard more than 15 kilometres away in the coastal city of Tyre, came despite an ongoing ceasefire framework and diplomatic efforts aimed at ending hostilities between Israel and Lebanon.

A day earlier, an Israeli strike on an ambulance in Nabatieh al-Fawqa reportedly injured two medics. Lebanon's Health Ministry condemned the attack, describing it as a serious violation of international humanitarian law.

Israel says its military operations are intended to prevent attacks by Hezbollah and maintain security along its northern border. Lebanese officials, however, accuse Israel of continuing military actions that undermine the ceasefire agreement and delay efforts to restore stability.

The ceasefire framework, brokered by the United States and signed on June 26, calls for the gradual deployment of the Lebanese army in southern areas as Hezbollah is expected to disarm. The agreement does not set a fixed timetable for Israeli forces to withdraw from the territory.

Lebanese and Israeli officials are expected to hold another round of talks on August 4 in Italy to discuss the implementation of the agreement.

Meanwhile, Hezbollah has rejected the deal, insisting that armed resistance remains necessary until Israeli forces fully leave Lebanese territory. Residents returning to some southern villages have also argued that Israeli troops have yet to withdraw from several areas covered by the agreement.
