A Ukrainian missile strike on the Russian city of Voronezh has killed five people and injured several dozen others, according to regional governor Alexander Gusev.
Gusev said the heaviest damage occurred at an industrial facility located on the left bank of the Voronezh River. The attack caused a fire at the site, which was later brought under control.
The incident comes amid the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict. Ukraine’s military said it had targeted a factory in the Voronezh region that produces electronic components used for missiles.
Russian authorities have not provided further details about the extent of the damage, while Ukraine has not commented on the reported casualties.
