The Governor of Kano State, Abba Yusuf, has called on residents of the state to continue supporting President Bola Tinubu, saying the President deserves strong backing for his efforts towards the development of Kano and Nigeria.
The governor made the statement through his spokesperson, Sunusi Dawakin-Tofa, in Kano on Wednesday.
Yusuf made the call while presenting a Certificate of Return to the newly elected member representing Dawakin Kudu/Warawa Federal Constituency, Shu’aibu Rabi’u Nagogo.
The governor said Kano State has reasons to stand firmly behind Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He praised the relationship between the Kano State Government and the Federal Government, saying it has brought positive results through infrastructure projects and other development programmes.
Yusuf described President Tinubu as a leader committed to national unity and progress, urging political leaders and stakeholders to remain united.
He also congratulated Nagogo on his victory and expressed confidence that he would effectively represent his constituency at the House of Representatives.
The governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to working with the Federal Government to improve the lives of citizens.
