The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), in partnership with Rite Foods Limited, will honour seven outstanding Nigerian undergraduates with ₦5 million each at the maiden Academic Excellence Recognition Award Ceremony in Lagos.
The initiative is aimed at rewarding students who achieved exceptional academic performance during the 2025 admission exercise.
According to JAMB, each of the seven award recipients will receive ₦5 million in recognition of their outstanding results in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and their respective Post-UTME or university screening exercises.
The board said the winners were selected through a transparent and merit-based process.
Six recipients represent Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones, while the seventh award goes to the highest-performing admitted student living with a disability.
The beneficiaries come from institutions including the University of Lagos, University of Uyo, Federal University of Technology Owerri, Federal University of Applied Sciences Kachia, University of Maiduguri, and Federal University of Technology Minna.
JAMB said the award ceremony will bring together education stakeholders, government officials, university leaders, students, and corporate representatives to celebrate academic excellence and encourage young Nigerians to pursue educational success.
