Israeli Strike on Vehicle in Central Gaza Kills Three Palestinians

An Israeli attack on a vehicle in the central Gaza Strip has killed three Palestinians and injured several others, according to Palestinian officials.

The Palestinian Ministry of Interior and National Security said the strike occurred near the entrance of the Maghazi refugee camp in Deir el-Balah on Friday, and that the three people killed were police officers.

The ministry said the victims were targeted by Israeli forces and identified them as Captain Mansour Sami Shahtout, Captain Mohammed Khaled Nofal, and First Sergeant Mahdi Nader Jabr.

Palestinian news agency Wafa reported that an Israeli drone targeted the vehicle, while reports said at least two missiles were fired, causing the vehicle to catch fire.

Witnesses said the burning vehicle was struck on Salah al-Din Street near the Maghazi camp entrance. Emergency teams, including medical workers, civil defence and firefighters, responded to the scene.

The bodies of those killed were taken to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir el-Balah.

The Palestinian Interior Ministry condemned the attack, calling it a violation of the ceasefire agreement and accusing Israel of continuing to target security personnel in Gaza.

The Gaza ceasefire, which began in October 2025, has faced repeated reports of violations. Gaza health officials said hundreds of Palestinians have been killed and thousands injured in reported attacks since the truce began.

Meanwhile, Hamas said discussions are ongoing with Palestinian factions and mediators to ensure the full implementation of the ceasefire agreement, including humanitarian arrangements and future phases.
