At least three Palestinians, including an eight-year-old child, have been killed in an Israeli air strike in Deir el-Balah, central Gaza, according to local health authorities.
The attack, which happened near Wadi Salqa Bridge on al-Baraka Street, also left several people injured. The Palestinian news agency Wafa identified the victims as Ali Fayez Isbaitan, Hassan Salman al-Hanajra, and eight-year-old Malik Wael Abu Shaweesh.
The strike is the latest incident reported during the ongoing ceasefire period, with Palestinian officials accusing Israel of continuing attacks despite the agreement.
Israeli military vehicles also advanced along Salah al-Din Street in the Nuseirat refugee camp, amid reports of gunfire and shelling. In northern Gaza, two people were reportedly injured in shelling in Beit Lahiya.
Gaza’s Government Media Office said more than 1,000 Palestinians have been killed and thousands injured since the ceasefire began, while accusing Israel of repeated violations.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health said the death toll from the war that began in October 2023 has continued to rise, with tens of thousands killed and many more wounded.
Meanwhile, reports say Israeli forces have continued expanding areas under their control inside Gaza and have issued displacement orders affecting residents in several areas.
