Iran has stated that no final decision has been made regarding a potential agreement with the United States, dismissing reports suggesting that a deal is ready for signing.
According to Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman, Esmaeil Baghaei, discussions between Tehran and Washington are still ongoing, and Iran will not compromise on what it considers its key negotiating principles.
Baghaei said reports circulating about the time and location of a possible signing ceremony remain speculative, stressing that no official arrangements have been finalized. He noted that while a significant portion of the negotiation text has already been completed, disagreements persist due to what Iran describes as repeated changes in the U.S. position during the talks.
The spokesman reiterated that Tehran remains committed to protecting its national interests and maintaining its established red lines throughout the negotiation process.
The comments come amid growing international attention on efforts by both countries to ease tensions and reach an understanding on several longstanding issues.
