India has restricted access to the Telegram messaging platform ahead of a nationwide medical entrance exam retest following allegations of a leaked question paper.
The Indian government blocked Telegram access until June 22, the date of the medical exam retest.
Features that allow users to edit messages will remain restricted until June 30.

Medical exam controversy
The National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) was cancelled after reports that exam papers had been leaked before the test.
More than two million students compete for medical school places through the exam.
Authorities said leaked materials were allegedly shared through Telegram channels.
Investigation
India’s Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested a person described as the alleged main organiser behind the leak.
The suspect was identified as a chemistry lecturer linked to the examination process.

The scandal triggered protests, with students demanding accountability from education officials.
The controversy added to concerns over another exam marking dispute involving millions of high school students.
