Breaking Bad Actor Giancarlo Esposito Reportedly Embraces Islam

American actor Giancarlo Esposito has reportedly embraced Islam during his visit to Saudi Arabia, according to reports.

A video shared by Turki Al-Sheikh, Chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, shows Esposito praying in a mosque alongside members of the production team of the film Seven Dogs.

Al-Sheikh said Esposito’s interactions with Muslims and his experiences while working in the region influenced his appreciation of Islam. He added that the actor recited the Shahada and joined the team in prayer.

The exact location of the prayer has not been independently confirmed. Some reports and social media users claimed the footage may have been recorded at the Hassan II Mosque in Morocco rather than Saudi Arabia.

In a previous interview, Esposito spoke about his experience in Morocco and described the country’s devotion and spirituality as something that deeply affected him, saying belief in one God was meaningful to him.

The report comes after Esposito attended the Casablanca premiere of Seven Dogs alongside Monica Bellucci and directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah.

Esposito is best known internationally for his role as Gus Fring in the hit television series Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, where he earned widespread recognition for his performances.
