Iran Executes Two Convicted Spies Linked to Israeli Intelligence

Authorities in Iran have carried out the execution of two men found guilty of espionage on behalf of Mossad, according to official reports.

The individuals, identified as Yaghoub Karimpour and Nasser Bekrzadeh, were executed in the northwestern province of West Azerbaijan Province after their death sentences were upheld by the country’s Supreme Court.

Judicial documents indicate that Karimpour had maintained contact with a Mossad operative during the 2025 conflict involving Israel and the United States against Iran. He was accused of supplying sensitive information about strategic locations and individuals in exchange for cryptocurrency payments.

Authorities also alleged that he received training to manufacture explosive devices, which he reportedly deployed in targeted areas. Investigators said he later shared footage of the incidents with his handler.

In addition, Karimpour was said to have photographed military installations and recruited others to carry out acts of sabotage, including attacks on infrastructure in cities such as Karaj and Mashhad.

Bekrzadeh, the second convict, was accused of gathering and transmitting images and intelligence from key sites across Iran, including the Natanz nuclear facility, as well as information about officials and other figures.

Both men were convicted on charges including “waging war against God” and “corruption on earth” under Iran’s legal system.

Iranian authorities say dozens of individuals suspected of collaborating with foreign intelligence agencies have been detained since the escalation of hostilities in 2025, with officials calling for expedited handling of espionage-related cases.
