A member of Nigeria’s House of Representatives, Abdulmumin Jibrin Kofa, has organised a large prayer gathering involving about 2,000 Islamic clerics in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, and the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The prayer session was held at a central mosque built by the lawmaker in Kofa town, located in Bebeji Local Government Area of Kano State. Clerics and Islamic scholars from different parts of the region attended the event.

The gathering was led by former Chairman of the National Hajj Commission (NAHCON), Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman, who encouraged continued prayers for peace, unity, and national development.

Speaking during the event, Jibrin praised President Tinubu’s leadership and described him as a strong supporter of northern Nigeria. He urged religious leaders to encourage their followers to support leaders committed to national progress and stability.

Following the prayers, the lawmaker launched a house-to-house mobilisation campaign aimed at increasing grassroots support for President Tinubu, Governor Yusuf, and APC candidates ahead of future elections.

Jibrin, who is seeking re-election for a fifth term in the House of Representatives, said the outreach campaign would extend across Kano State and focus on direct engagement with local communities.
