IRGC Commander Says U.S. Pressure Will Not Break Iran

A senior commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has stated that former U.S. President Donald Trump will not succeed in defeating Iran, amid ongoing tensions between the two countries.

The commander, Yadollah Javani, said U.S. strategies aimed at weakening Iran have failed, describing them as a “miscalculation” of Iran’s strength and unity. He argued that Washington and its allies had assumed Iran could be quickly subdued through military pressure, but that expectation has proven unrealistic.

Javani emphasized that Iran remains resilient in the face of external pressure, adding that efforts to force the country into submission would not succeed. He stressed that the Iranian nation is united and capable of resisting political and military challenges.

The remarks come at a time of heightened strain between Tehran and Washington, with both sides exchanging strong rhetoric alongside broader regional tensions.

Analysts say such statements reflect ongoing political messaging, as both Iran and the United States seek to project strength during a period of uncertainty in their relations.
