Samsung Electronics has announced plans to showcase its latest gaming technologies and products at Gamescom 2026, one of the world’s largest gaming events, taking place in Cologne, Germany, from August 26 to 30, 2026.
Under the slogan “#PlaySamsung,” the company will present an integrated gaming experience spanning mobile devices, PCs and consoles. Visitors will be able to experience several new products, including the Odyssey G8 6K gaming monitor, 9100 PRO SSD and Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra.
The Odyssey G8, launched in May 2026, is described by Samsung as the world’s first 6K gaming monitor. It features a Dual Mode that allows gamers to switch between 6K resolution at 165Hz and 3K resolution at 330Hz, depending on the type of game being played.
The monitor also supports G-SYNC Compatible and AMD FreeSync Premium, designed to reduce screen tearing and stuttering during demanding gameplay.
Samsung will also showcase Crimson Desert, an open-world action-adventure game from Pearl Abyss, on the Odyssey G8’s 6K display with HDR10+ GAMING technology.
In addition to product demonstrations, Samsung will host gaming competitions, including the #PlayGalaxy Cup World Finals on August 27 and 28. The tournament will feature teams that qualified through regional competitions across North America, Latin America, Europe, Southeast Asia and Southwest Asia.
The event will also include a special PUBG Mobile match featuring three popular global gaming influencers, alongside game demonstrations, Sonic-themed activities and a Samsung-themed cosplay runway.
Samsung said its presence at Gamescom 2026 is aimed at demonstrating how its latest technologies can deliver a connected and immersive gaming experience across different platforms.
