The Reliance Foundation Undergraduate Scholarship 2026–27 is offering financial support of up to ₹2 lakh to talented first-year undergraduate students in India.
The scholarship is designed to help students from financially disadvantaged households overcome the cost of higher education. Selection is based on a merit-cum-means approach, taking into account academic performance, household income, leadership potential, integrity, community involvement and other qualities.
Eligibility
Applicants must:
Be resident citizens of India.
Have completed Standard 12th with at least 60 per cent marks.
Be enrolled in the first year of a regular, full-time undergraduate programme during the 2026–27 academic year.
Be studying in an eligible undergraduate stream.
Have a total household income of less than ₹15 lakh per year.
Complete the programme's mandatory aptitude test.
Students from households earning below ₹2.5 lakh annually will receive preference.
Students already in their second year or above, those studying through non-regular modes, and applicants enrolled in certain two-year or six-year undergraduate programmes are not eligible.
Scholarship Benefits
Successful applicants can receive up to ₹2 lakh in financial assistance throughout their undergraduate degree.
In addition to financial support, scholars may gain access to a network of Reliance Foundation scholars and alumni, as well as opportunities for personal, academic and professional development.
The programme particularly encourages applications from female students and students with disabilities.
Aptitude Test Mandatory
Applicants are required to complete a mandatory aptitude test as part of the selection process. Failure to complete the assessment, or involvement in cheating or malpractice, may lead to disqualification.
Selection will consider both financial circumstances and merit, including academic achievement, leadership, integrity, community commitment, growth mindset and initiative.
Application Deadline
The stated application deadline is October 5, 2026.
Eligible students are advised to prepare their academic, enrolment, identity and household-income documents before applying and to carefully review the official eligibility requirements.
