Motorola’s Razr Fold is finally moving closer to its Verizon launch in the United States, several months after the company first announced the foldable phone.
Motorola launched the Razr Fold in the US and Canada in late May 2026, with plans to sell the device through both T-Mobile and Verizon. While T-Mobile made the phone available immediately, Verizon’s version has been delayed.
The delay appears to be linked to 5G mmWave certification. The US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has now certified a Razr Fold model that supports mmWave 5G technology, which is particularly important for Verizon because of its extensive mmWave network.
With the certification now completed, the Razr Fold could arrive on Verizon within the next few weeks. However, Verizon has yet to announce an official release date, pricing, or other launch details.
Motorola’s Razr Fold is a premium foldable smartphone, with a configuration offering 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. The device has attracted attention for its foldable design, although its high price remains one of the concerns surrounding the phone.
Verizon customers interested in the device will have to wait for the carrier’s official announcement for confirmation of its availability and price.
