The United States military has confirmed it carried out another round of air and missile strikes on Iranian military targets, marking the sixth consecutive night of attacks ordered by President Donald Trump.
According to the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), American fighter jets, drones, and naval warships struck dozens of military sites, including air defense systems, coastal surveillance facilities, logistics infrastructure, and maritime capabilities.
Among the locations targeted were Qeshm Island and areas near Bandar Abbas, home to Iran's largest port and key naval and Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) facilities along the Strait of Hormuz.
Iranian media also reported strikes on bridges, a railway station in Bandar Khamir, and Iranshahr Airport, although Reuters said it could not independently verify those reports.
In response, Iran launched missiles and drones toward U.S. military bases in neighboring countries, including a recently expanded air base in Jordan, which Tehran claims was used in an earlier U.S. attack.
President Trump has continued to warn that the U.S. could target additional Iranian infrastructure, including energy facilities and bridges, despite concerns from international legal experts that attacks on civilian infrastructure could violate international humanitarian law.
The conflict, which began on February 28, 2026, has escalated into one of the region's most destructive wars in recent years. Thousands of people have reportedly been killed, millions displaced, and global oil prices have risen sharply due to concerns over instability in the Middle East.
The latest developments highlight the growing risk of a wider regional conflict as both Washington and Tehran continue to exchange military strikes.
