Russian authorities say Ukrainian drone attacks sparked fires at industrial facilities in the western city of Ryazan, while major online retailer Wildberries evacuated its warehouses in the area as a safety precaution.
According to Ryazan Governor Pavel Malkov, Russian air defenses intercepted 45 drones overnight. However, debris from the attacks ignited a fire in an industrial zone and damaged residential buildings. Six people were reported injured and taken to hospital.
The latest strikes are part of Ukraine's ongoing campaign targeting Russian industrial infrastructure, including facilities linked to Wildberries. Kyiv has accused the company of supporting Russia's military logistics. Recent attacks have reportedly damaged several of the retailer's warehouses, disrupting business operations and affecting thousands of merchants.
Elsewhere, Russian officials said a woman was killed and another person injured after missile debris struck an apartment building in the southern city of Taganrog.
In Ukraine, local authorities reported that a Russian drone attack killed one person and injured three others in the Kherson region. In Dnipropetrovsk, five people, including a child, were wounded following multiple Russian attacks involving drones, artillery, and aerial bombs.
Russia's Ministry of Defence also claimed its forces targeted two vessels transporting weapons and military equipment near Ukraine's Black Sea port of Odesa.
The exchange of attacks comes as both countries intensify military operations around the Black Sea and Sea of Azov, raising concerns over regional security and disrupting grain and oil shipments.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian Acting Defence Minister Yevhenii Khmara said Ukraine would continue relying on "asymmetric" military tactics rather than matching Russia's firepower directly. His comments followed President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump in Washington, where they discussed expanding Ukraine's air defence capabilities and reviving peace negotiations with Russia.
