Trump Warns US Will Destroy Iranian Bridges or Power Plants After Any Attack in Strait of Hormuz.

U.S. President Donald Trump has warned that the United States will destroy an Iranian bridge or power plant each time Iran attacks a ship in the Strait of Hormuz, further escalating tensions between the two countries.

In a statement posted on social media on Wednesday, Trump said any Iranian missile, rocket, drone or other attack on vessels passing through the strategic waterway would trigger immediate U.S. retaliation against key infrastructure inside Iran.

The warning comes as fighting between the United States and Iran continues to intensify, with both sides exchanging military strikes and diplomatic efforts showing little progress.

Overnight, U.S. forces carried out fresh airstrikes on targets in Iran, while Tehran launched missile attacks that raised security alerts in Jordan, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.

The Strait of Hormuz, one of the world's most important oil shipping routes, remains heavily disrupted due to ongoing attacks, causing concern in global energy markets and pushing fuel prices higher.

International observers have expressed concern over attacks targeting civilian infrastructure. The United Nations has reiterated that international law generally prohibits such strikes unless the facilities are being used for military purposes.

The continued conflict has increased fears of wider regional instability and further economic disruption, as the closure of the Strait of Hormuz threatens global oil and gas supplies.
