Saudi Arabia has welcomed Jordan's decision to launch regular commercial flights between Amman and Yemen's capital, Sanaa, describing the move as an important step toward supporting the humanitarian needs of the Yemeni people.
Jordan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Royal Jordanian Airlines will operate the new route. Authorities are currently finalizing the necessary technical and logistical arrangements before flights begin.
In a statement, Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs praised the initiative, saying it would improve travel access and provide humanitarian relief for Yemenis. The Yemeni government also welcomed the announcement, expressing support for the resumption of regular air services.
The new flights are expected to ease movement for civilians and strengthen humanitarian efforts by improving connectivity between Jordan and Yemen.
