Russia Says Ukrainian Drone Strike Kills Seven at Logistics Centre

Russian authorities say a Ukrainian drone attack on a logistics centre in the Tambov region has killed seven people and injured at least 24 others.

According to Tambov Governor Evgeny Pervyshov, the overnight strike targeted a Wildberries logistics facility in the town of Kotovsk, where employees were working the night shift.

The governor said seven workers lost their lives, while preliminary reports indicate that 24 others sustained injuries.

Wildberries, one of Russia's largest e-commerce companies, confirmed that its logistics centres in Kotovsk and Elektrostal, near Moscow, were attacked. The company said a fire at the Tambov facility had been brought under control, while emergency crews continued firefighting operations at the Elektrostal site.

Meanwhile, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said the capital region came under a large-scale drone attack overnight. He stated that more than 370 drones were launched toward the region, with Russian air defence systems intercepting most of them before they reached the city. According to Sobyanin, 64 drones were destroyed while approaching Moscow.

Ukraine has repeatedly launched drone attacks inside Russian territory, describing them as retaliation for Russia's continued military strikes since the conflict began more than four years ago.

Efforts led by the United States to negotiate an end to the war have made little progress in recent months, with diplomatic attention increasingly shifting toward tensions involving Iran.
