The Police Service Commission (PSC) has announced the release of the names of 50,000 successful candidates recruited into the Nigeria Police Force as Police Constables following the completion of the nationwide recruitment exercise.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the commission said all applicants who participated in the recently concluded written examination should visit the official recruitment portal to check their application status.
According to the PSC, the recruitment process was conducted in collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force, the Federal Character Commission, the Ministry of Police Affairs, state career and counselling departments, and the Police Community Relations Committee to ensure fairness, transparency, and inclusiveness.
The commission stated that the recruitment portal will be accessible from 12:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 16, 2026, and successful candidates will also receive notifications through their registered email addresses and phone numbers.
Candidates who made the final list will be invited to their designated police training institutions for medical screening and documentation on dates to be announced later.
The PSC warned that candidates who fail to report within the stipulated period or do not pass the mandatory medical examination will forfeit their offers.
Successful applicants are required to report with their training call-up slip, National Identification Number (NIN) slip, Bank Verification Number (BVN) slip, original and photocopies of their educational certificates, and other documents listed on the recruitment portal.
PSC Chairman, retired Deputy Inspector-General of Police Hashimu Argungu, expressed appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for approving the recruitment of 50,000 police constables, describing it as a major step toward strengthening Nigeria's security.
He urged the successful candidates to serve the nation with professionalism, integrity, and dedication to ensuring the safety and security of all Nigerians.
