University of Cape Town Ranked Among World’s Top 1.3% in Latest Global University Rankings

The University of Cape Town (UCT) has once again strengthened its reputation as one of the world’s leading academic institutions, ranking 276th globally in the 2026 Center for World University Rankings (CWUR) Global 2000 list.

Out of more than 21,000 universities assessed worldwide, UCT placed in the top 1.3% globally, while also securing second place in both Africa and South Africa.
