Students and educators have raised concerns about technical failures, including unclear scanned papers, system errors, and delays that reportedly affected grading accuracy and review opportunities.
Many students say their results do not reflect their expected performance. Some have claimed that uploaded answer scripts did not match their original handwritten papers, raising fears of mismanagement in the evaluation process. In several cases, complaints shared on social media led to corrections after review, intensifying public attention on the issue.
The controversy escalated after students began posting evidence online, alleging inconsistencies in grading and weaknesses in the digital evaluation platform. One viral case involved a student who publicly questioned whether his exam paper had been correctly assessed, prompting the board to recheck and adjust his marks.
Investigations and reports also pointed to vulnerabilities in the system’s digital infrastructure. Some young researchers and students claimed they were able to identify security flaws in the evaluation portal, further raising concerns about oversight and data integrity.

The government has responded by relocating top officials within the education board, but this move has been dismissed by critics as insufficient. Calls are growing for the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, with opposition parties alleging a failure in oversight.
Education experts say the controversy reflects deeper structural problems in India’s examination system, including repeated issues with large-scale testing, digital infrastructure readiness, and trust in public institutions. Some academics argue that students are increasingly losing confidence in exam authorities due to recurring irregularities.
