In Bangladesh, a rare albino buffalo has become an unexpected public attraction ahead of Eid al-Adha, drawing large crowds and going viral on social media.
The animal, raised on a farm in Narayanganj near Dhaka, has been nicknamed “Donald Trump” because of its pale coat and a distinctive tuft of blond hair that resembles the hairstyle of the former U.S. president.
Weighing around 700 kilograms, the buffalo stands out due to its unusual appearance, including a cream-colored body and pinkish nose—features uncommon among typical buffaloes in the region.
Visitors have been traveling from different parts of the country to see the animal, take photos, and share videos online, turning it into a seasonal sensation during the Eid festivities.
The farm owner said the buffalo required extra care, including frequent bathing and multiple daily feedings to keep it healthy before being sold for ritual sacrifice during Eid al-Adha.
Albino buffaloes are rare in Bangladesh, and animals with distinctive appearances often gain attention during Eid, when livestock are widely bought for religious sacrifice.
Despite its viral fame, the buffalo has now been delivered to a buyer for the upcoming Eid sacrifice, ending its brief moment as an online celebrity.
