Kano Government Approves ₦20,000 Eid Bonus for Civil Servants

The Kano State Government has approved a ₦20,000 festive allowance for civil servants across the state and local government areas ahead of the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.

The announcement was made in a statement issued in Kano by the Office of the Secretary to the State Government, through its Press Secretary, Musa Tanko-Muhammad.

According to the statement, the payment is intended to support workers financially during the Sallah period and ease the pressure of festive expenses.

The benefit will apply to public servants on Grade Levels 01 to 14 serving in ministries, departments, agencies, and local councils throughout the state.

Governor Abba Yusuf described the initiative as part of his administration’s commitment to improving the welfare of workers, whom he called the backbone of the public service.

He noted that the decision was influenced by current economic conditions and the increased financial demands that usually accompany festive seasons.

The governor added that the support would help workers celebrate Eid-el-Kabir with greater comfort while reinforcing his government’s focus on staff welfare and productivity.

He also extended his Eid greetings to civil servants and residents of the state, praying for peace, unity, and prosperity across Kano and Nigeria.
