At least seven Palestinians have been killed in fresh Israeli air attacks across Gaza, according to Palestinian health officials, as violence continues despite an existing ceasefire agreement.
Five of the victims were reportedly killed after an Israeli drone strike targeted the Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza on Tuesday. Civil defence officials said several others were injured in the attack and taken to nearby hospitals for treatment.
Medical officials at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital confirmed the casualties.
Local reports indicated that the strike may have targeted Palestinians confronting an armed group allegedly supported by Israel in the eastern section of the camp.
In southern Gaza, two more people lost their lives after an Israeli strike hit a vehicle in Khan Younis. Medics said multiple others sustained injuries during the attack.
The latest violence comes during the Muslim Eid al-Adha celebrations and amid continued tensions surrounding the ceasefire brokered by the United States and Qatar.
According to Palestinian officials, more than 900 Palestinians have been killed since the ceasefire took effect in October 2025. Israel has also reported the deaths of four of its soldiers during clashes with Palestinian armed groups since then.
Israel has previously acknowledged backing groups opposed to Hamas in parts of Gaza, a move critics say has contributed to instability and divisions within the territory.
