Palestinian resistance factions have reacted strongly to the killing of senior Hamas commander Mohammed Odeh in an Israeli airstrike on Gaza, declaring that the attack would deepen their commitment to armed resistance.
Palestinian Islamic Jihad and Lebanon’s Hezbollah issued statements mourning Odeh, who headed the Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades, while accusing Israel of escalating violence in the region.
Hamas confirmed that Odeh and members of his family were killed during an Israeli strike on Gaza City. The movement described him as one of the long-serving architects of its armed operations and a key figure in its military leadership.
The incident has further intensified tensions surrounding the ongoing Gaza conflict, with resistance groups warning that targeted killings would not stop their campaign.
