The noble Companions (may Allah be pleased with them all) are the foundation of Islam and its first preachers. They learned the religion directly from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and conveyed it to us. They are the blessed group whom Allah chose for the companionship of His Final Prophet ﷺ and whose faith He made a model for us.
The reality is that the lives of the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them all) are the greatest proof of the truthfulness of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, for through his training such extraordinary individuals were produced who spread the religion of Allah to the corners of the world.
Today there is a need to study the life accounts of these sacred personalities so that love for Allah and His Messenger ﷺ may be awakened in hearts and the spirit of sacrificing one’s life for the religion of Allah may be revived. The truth is that the incidents from the lives of the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them all) carry a message of revival and renewal of faith for the Muslim community.
The book under discussion contains accounts of the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them all). The original Arabic work was authored by Mawlana Muhammad Yusuf Kandhlawi (may Allah have mercy on him), the son of Mawlana Muhammad Ilyas Kandhlawi (may Allah have mercy on him), the founder of Tablighi Jamaat. This is its Urdu translation, making it accessible to Urdu-speaking readers.
It should be kept in mind that the book does not include detailed verification and authentication of the narrations; therefore, complete reliance cannot be placed on every report it contains. However, as a whole, its study remains beneficial.
