Israeli forces have continued attacks on Palestinians in Gaza despite a ceasefire agreement signed in October, with three people, including a child, killed on Monday.
The child, identified as Ismail al-Bardawil, was killed after Israeli forces opened fire on civilians in the al-Mawasi area in southern Gaza, according to sources at Nasser Medical Complex.
In northern Gaza, a Palestinian man in Jabalia died from wounds sustained in Israeli gunfire, while a woman was killed in a separate incident in Deir el-Balah, central Gaza.
At least nine other Palestinians were wounded by Israeli gunfire in Bureij refugee camp and Khan Younis. Among those injured were two women and a child.
A woman was also critically wounded after Israeli forces opened fire east of the Jabalia refugee camp. Witnesses reported additional shelling and heavy tank fire in the Shakoush area, north of Rafah.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health said 1,394 people have been killed and 4,839 injured since the ceasefire came into force. It also reported that at least 73,914 Palestinians have been killed since the conflict began on October 7, 2023.
