Samsung’s latest Fan Edition smartphone, the Galaxy S26 FE, has arrived for review, offering several upgrades while retaining much of the design and hardware of its predecessor.
The Galaxy S26 FE features the same 6.7-inch display, triple-camera setup, battery capacity and overall design as the Galaxy S25 FE. One noticeable design change is the addition of a raised camera island, replacing the flush-mounted camera arrangement on the previous model.
The biggest upgrades come in the processor and software. The Galaxy S26 FE is powered by Samsung’s new 3nm Exynos 2500 chipset, replacing the 4nm Exynos 2400 used in the previous generation. The new processor includes an AMD RDNA 3-based GPU with up to 33% more work groups, while its NPU offers 40% more compute units.
The phone also runs One UI 9 out of the box, making it the first Galaxy FE model to launch with the new software. Samsung has introduced several AI-powered features, including an improved Now Brief, Now Nudge, enhanced Circle to Search, and Photo Assist for natural-language photo editing.
Other AI features include Gemini Omni, which can create and edit video clips from Gallery content, and My FanCam, which uses AI to automatically track and keep a selected subject centered in the frame.
The Galaxy S26 FE comes with 128GB, 256GB or 512GB of storage and is available in Blueberry, Pistachio and Graphite colours. Pricing starts at around $700, €700 or £700, depending on the market.
Like many recent Samsung smartphones, the retail box contains only a USB-C cable, meaning buyers will need to purchase a charger and protective case separately.
