Russian air strikes across Ukraine have killed at least six people and injured 26 others, according to Ukrainian officials. The attacks came a day after a Russian strike on a shopping complex in Kryvyi Rih killed 16 people and wounded more than 130, including 22 children.
In Kyiv, one person was killed after a warehouse caught fire in the Darnytskyi district following an overnight Russian ballistic missile attack, Mayor Vitali Klitschko said.
In the Kherson region, three people were killed and 13 others injured after Russian strikes damaged residential buildings. Another person was killed in Donetsk, where seven people were also wounded, including five in Kramatorsk.
In the Sumy region, a drone attack on a house killed one man, while several other drone strikes injured six people. A separate attack set a shopping centre in the city of Kherson on fire, although no casualties were reported.
Meanwhile, Russian authorities said a Ukrainian drone strike on a house in the southern Krasnodar region killed two children and injured two adults.
The latest attacks occurred as emergency workers continued searching the ruins of the Sunny Gallery shopping complex in Kryvyi Rih, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's hometown. Ukrainian officials said Russian forces used jet-powered Shahed drones in Friday's attack.
According to local officials, a second wave of strikes hit about 30 minutes after the initial attack, when emergency crews were responding to the scene. Ukrainian authorities said the death toll from the Kryvyi Rih attack had risen to 16, with more than 130 people injured.
Zelenskyy condemned the attack as an act of barbarism and accused Russia of carrying out terrorist acts against civilians.
The latest violence highlights the continuing danger faced by civilians across Ukraine, with attacks increasingly reaching areas far from the front lines.
