Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, has called on Muslims across Kano State and Nigeria to emulate the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) as they celebrate Maulud.
In a Maulud message, the governor urged Muslims to promote peace, justice, compassion, honesty, patience and tolerance in their daily lives.
Yusuf said the celebration provides an opportunity for Muslims to reflect on the Prophet’s exemplary character and apply his teachings to contemporary society.
He also encouraged Muslims to promote unity, peaceful coexistence and mutual respect among people from different backgrounds.
The governor called on parents, religious leaders and community elders to teach young people about the Prophet’s character, values and conduct.
Yusuf further prayed for continued peace, stability and prosperity in Kano State and Nigeria. He also prayed for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima, wishing them a successful tenure and a peaceful re-election in 2027.
He wished Muslims across the country a peaceful and spiritually rewarding Maulud celebration, urging them to pray for peace, progress and unity in Nigeria.
