Maduka University Secures Full NUC Accreditation for Seven Academic Programmes

Maduka University, Ekwegbe-Nsukka, has achieved full accreditation from the National Universities Commission (NUC) for all seven academic programmes presented during its latest accreditation exercise.

The assessment, conducted between October and December 2025, evaluated the university's compliance with national academic standards. According to the NUC's results, every programme submitted received Full Accreditation, with performance scores ranging from 84.8% to 97.0%, well above the minimum benchmark.

The accredited programmes include:

Accounting

Mass Communication

Computer Science

Cyber Security

Software Engineering

Economics

International Relations


The accreditation will remain valid until 2030, confirming the institution's continued adherence to the NUC's quality assurance requirements.

The evaluation team highlighted several strengths, including a robust academic curriculum, compliance with Benchmark Minimum Academic Standards (BMAS/CCMAS), qualified academic staff, adequate library resources, a conducive teaching and learning environment, and effective institutional governance.

University management described the achievement as a significant milestone that reflects its commitment to delivering quality higher education. The accreditation also assures students, parents, employers, and other stakeholders that the university's programmes meet nationally approved standards and are positioned for sustained academic excellence.
