Kano Government Donates ₦1m, Food Items to Family of Fallen Police Officer

The Kano State Government has presented a ₦1 million cash donation and food items to the family of late Inspector Sani Haladu, who lost his life in the line of duty on March 27, 2026.

The support package included five bags of rice, six bags of spaghetti, six bags of macaroni, and two 25-litre jerry cans of vegetable oil. The donation was delivered at the Kano State Police Command headquarters by the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mohammed Tajo Othman, on behalf of the state government.

Receiving the items, the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations, Lawal Isa Mani, thanked the Kano State Government for its support. He described the late Inspector Haladu as a courageous and dedicated officer who served the nation with commitment until his death.

Mani said the gesture reflects the strong partnership between the Kano State Government and the Nigeria Police Force, adding that it would boost the morale of officers by assuring them that their sacrifices are appreciated.

Commissioner of Police Ibrahim Bakori also commended Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for the support, reaffirming the command's commitment to protecting lives and property across the state's 44 local government areas.

Bakori assured the deceased officer's family of the police command's continued support and urged officers to remain professional and dedicated to their duties. He also called on residents to continue providing credible information to security agencies to strengthen safety and security across Kano State.
