Israeli settlers reportedly attacked Palestinian municipal workers and damaged farmland in the occupied West Bank on Saturday, according to Palestinian officials and local media.
The Palestinian news agency WAFA said the incident occurred in the Ain al-Qasab area near Qabalan, south of Nablus, where municipal workers were installing an electricity line. The workers were allegedly assaulted by settlers and forced to halt the project.
In a separate incident in the al-Masoudieh area northwest of Nablus, settlers reportedly destroyed an agricultural structure on a Palestinian-owned farm. Local officials also accused settlers of releasing livestock onto nearby farmland, causing damage to crops and trees.
Additional reports indicated that farmland in the al-Khalayel area near al-Mughayyir village, east of Ramallah, was also damaged after livestock grazed on cultivated land.
The reported attacks come a day after several members of a Palestinian family were injured during an alleged assault by Israeli settlers in the Masafer Yatta area, south of Hebron. The Palestinian Red Crescent said it treated the injured before transferring them to hospital.
Palestinian activist Osama Makhamreh claimed that Israeli forces were present during the incident and later detained three members of the affected family.
According to the Palestinian Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission, more than 3,400 alleged settler-related incidents were recorded in the occupied West Bank during the first half of 2026, resulting in the deaths of 17 Palestinians.
Palestinian authorities say violence in the occupied West Bank has increased significantly since October 2023, with hundreds of fatalities, thousands of injuries, and widespread arrests reported during the period. Israel has previously said its security operations in the West Bank are aimed at countering militant attacks and maintaining security.
