Houthis Threaten Saudi Arabia Over Alleged Airspace Violation

Yemen's Houthi movement has warned Saudi Arabia that any future violation of Yemen's airspace or military action against the country will trigger retaliatory attacks targeting Saudi airports and other strategic facilities.

The warning came after the Iran-backed group claimed Saudi warplanes attempted to stop an Iranian civilian aircraft from landing at Sanaa International Airport on Friday. According to the Houthis, the aircraft landed safely despite the alleged interference.

Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree said Saudi Arabia would face a "comprehensive response" if it repeated what the group described as an act of aggression. He added that flights between Sanaa and Tehran would continue regardless of any threats.

Houthi-affiliated media reported that the Iranian plane later returned to Tehran carrying a Houthi delegation that had planned to attend the funeral of Iran's former Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei.

Saudi Arabia has not yet commented on the Houthis' allegations.
