The Federal Government will receive another group of 270 Nigerians returning voluntarily from South Africa on Wednesday as part of its ongoing evacuation programme.

According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, an Air Peace aircraft will depart Lagos on Tuesday, July 7, for Johannesburg to transport the returnees back to Nigeria.

The flight is scheduled to leave Lagos at 3:30 p.m., depart Johannesburg at midnight with the evacuees, and arrive at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos by 5:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 8, if all goes as planned.

The ministry said the operation is part of the government's continued efforts to assist Nigerians who wish to return home voluntarily from South Africa.

This latest flight will be the fourth evacuation mission under the programme, following the successful return of earlier groups of Nigerian nationals.
