World’s Next Tallest Tower Reaches 102 Floors in Jeddah

Saudi Arabia's ambitious JEC Tower has surpassed 100 floors, marking a significant step toward becoming the tallest building in the world.

The skyscraper, under construction in the city of Jeddah, has now reached 102 floors and is advancing steadily toward its planned height of more than one kilometre. Once completed, it will overtake the current record-holder, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, by a considerable margin.

Project architects have confirmed that the tower will feature at least 157 floors. Engineers behind the development say the structure relies on an advanced concrete-based design capable of withstanding powerful winds and supporting its unprecedented height.

The tower will be built on a massive foundation system consisting of a five-metre-thick concrete raft supported by hundreds of deep piles extending more than 100 metres underground.

Formerly known as Kingdom Tower and Jeddah Tower, the project is expected to include luxury residences, office spaces, a high-end hotel, and the world's highest observation deck.

JEC Tower forms the centerpiece of a major urban development in Jeddah and remains one of Saudi Arabia's flagship megaprojects aimed at boosting tourism and diversifying the country's economy.

After years of delays and uncertainty, construction is now progressing rapidly, bringing the landmark project closer to redefining the global skyline.
