Israeli Attacks on Gaza and Occupied West Bank Kill Two, Including Child.

Israeli forces have continued attacks in Gaza and the occupied West Bank, killing at least two Palestinians despite an ongoing ceasefire in the besieged Gaza Strip.

Health officials at Nasser Medical Complex in southern Gaza said a 12-year-old child was killed and several others were injured on Wednesday in an Israeli drone strike in the al-Mawasi area, west of Khan Younis.

According to Gaza’s Ministry of Health, since the ceasefire began in October 2025, Israeli attacks have killed at least 1,027 Palestinians and injured 3,280 others.

Since the war in Gaza began in October 2023, Palestinian officials say the death toll from Israeli attacks has reached 73,041, with more than 173,000 injured.

The child’s death came a day after a United Nations inquiry reported that Palestinian children had been deliberately targeted during the conflict.

Al Jazeera correspondent Hind Khoudary said al-Mawasi had previously been described by Israel as a “safe zone”, but the area has continued to face attacks.

She reported that the child, named Ahmed, was killed when an Israeli strike hit a tent, while at least seven others were wounded.

Meanwhile, in the occupied West Bank, Israeli forces killed a 29-year-old Palestinian, Mohammed Nazem Zayed, during a raid in al-Yamoun near Jenin.

The Palestinian Health Ministry said Zayed was killed by live fire and that Israeli forces were withholding his body.

Reports said Israeli special forces surrounded a house where Zayed was located before opening fire.

Palestinian officials say at least 71 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces in the occupied West Bank since the start of 2026.
