Iran’s top military leadership has declared the country’s armed forces fully prepared to confront any aggression or “strategic miscalculation” by what officials described as the “American-Zionist enemy.”
According to Iran’s General Staff of the Armed Forces, Major General Ali Abdollahi, commander of the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, met with Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei on Sunday to present an assessment of the nation’s military readiness.
The report covered the operational status of Iran’s Army, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), border and law enforcement units, the Defense Ministry, and the Basij forces.
Abdollahi said Iranian forces maintain a high level of preparedness in morale, combat capability, strategic planning, and military equipment, warning that any hostile action would trigger a “swift, decisive, and powerful” response.
He also reaffirmed the armed forces’ commitment to defending Iran’s sovereignty, national interests, and the principles of the Islamic Revolution under the Leader’s directives.
During the meeting, Ayatollah Khamenei reportedly praised the armed forces and issued new instructions on confronting threats following the recent 41-day conflict involving the United States and Israel.
The war, which began on February 28, saw extensive strikes on Iranian military and civilian sites. Iran responded with missile and drone attacks targeting US and Israeli interests, eventually leading to a unilateral ceasefire announced by both sides.
