Thousands of pro-Palestinian activists and solidarity groups gathered in Granada to commemorate the anniversary of the Nakba and express support for the Palestinian people.
The demonstration, organized by members of the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement alongside local advocacy organizations, highlighted the mass displacement of Palestinians in 1948 and raised concerns about the continuing humanitarian situation in the occupied Palestinian territories.
Participants marched through the Spanish city carrying Palestinian flags, banners, and placards calling for justice, human rights, and international solidarity with Palestine.
Organizers said the event aimed to keep international attention focused on the Palestinian cause and to honor the memory of those affected by decades of conflict and displacement.
The annual Nakba remembrance has become a recurring event in several European cities, with activists using demonstrations, cultural programs, and public gatherings to advocate for Palestinian rights and increased global awareness.
