JAMB Extends Deadline for 2021–2025 Admission Acceptance to November 30

JAMB Extends Deadline for 2021–2025 Admission Acceptance to November 30

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has extended the deadline for candidates with outstanding admission offers from 2021 to 2025 to accept or reject the offers on its Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS).

The board announced the extension on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, giving affected candidates until November 30, 2026, to take action.

JAMB urged candidates with pending admission offers to log into their CAPS accounts and indicate whether they wish to accept or reject the offers.

The board warned that candidates who fail to act before the new deadline will lose the status of their outstanding admission offers.

According to JAMB, any outstanding offer that remains neither accepted nor rejected after November 30 will automatically revert to “Not Admitted” on its records.

The latest extension follows an earlier deadline of September 30, 2026, which had been announced on August 30. Before that, JAMB had initially set August 31 as the deadline before extending it to September 30.

JAMB explained that candidates who accept their offers will be able to proceed to print and obtain their admission letters, while those who reject their offers will have their CAPS dashboards reverted to “Not Admitted.”

The board also stated that candidates who had moved to another institution or programme could accept their previous outstanding admission and subsequently apply for the appropriate correction or deletion where applicable.

JAMB further clarified that candidates offered admission in the 2026 admission exercise who still have previous admission offers pending may reject the earlier offers without affecting their 2026 admission.

However, the board warned that any subsequent request to update an admission that has reverted to “Not Admitted” after November 30 will attract the applicable penalty fee.

JAMB therefore advised all affected candidates to check their CAPS accounts and make the necessary decision before the new deadline.
