Tinubu Urges Muslims to Follow the Virtues and Teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)

President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday congratulated Muslims across Nigeria on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Maulud celebration and urged them to follow the good teachings and virtues of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

The President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, disclosed this in a statement titled “Eid-el-Maulud: Tinubu Urges Muslims to Imbibe Virtues of Prophet Muhammad.”

Tinubu said the occasion should go beyond celebrating the birth of the Prophet, urging Muslims to use the period for self-reflection, prayer and learning from Prophet Muhammad’s exemplary character.

He encouraged Muslims to remain committed to the Prophet’s teachings, particularly his values of devotion, perseverance, tolerance, humility and selflessness.

The President also called on Islamic leaders to use the occasion to pray for Nigeria and encourage their followers to put the lessons of Prophet Muhammad’s life into practice through greater commitment to the country.

He urged Muslims celebrating the occasion to extend support and kindness to poor and vulnerable people.

Tinubu further called for prayers against insecurity and other challenges affecting parts of the country.
