Saudi Arabia has clarified that pilgrims holding a one-year multiple-entry Umrah visa must complete additional requirements before each visit to the Kingdom.
The visa, valid for 365 days from the date of issuance, allows eligible pilgrims to enter Saudi Arabia multiple times during its validity period. However, the visa alone does not permit pilgrims to undertake another Umrah trip without completing the required arrangements.
Fresh Booking Required for Every Visit
Before each trip, pilgrims must book an approved Umrah service package through a licensed service provider on the Nusuk platform. The package must cover the dates of the planned visit and remain within the visa’s validity period.
Pilgrims must also obtain a separate Umrah permit through the Nusuk app before travelling. The permit dates must correspond with those covered by the approved service package.
Visa Validity Does Not Mean a One-Year Stay
Although the multiple-entry visa remains valid for one year, pilgrims cannot stay in Saudi Arabia continuously for the entire 365 days.
The total duration of stay across all visits must not exceed 90 days. The 365-day period only refers to the visa’s validity for multiple entries.
For first-time applicants, pilgrims are required to purchase an approved service package through Nusuk before submitting their visa application and completing the necessary procedures.
Saudi authorities have advised pilgrims to check the latest Nusuk requirements before every journey to ensure that their bookings and permits are valid.
The new clarification is intended to provide greater flexibility for pilgrims who wish to perform Umrah more than once within a year, while ensuring that accommodation, transportation and other services are properly arranged for each visit.
