Nasarawa Electoral Commissioner Resigns from APC, Joins SDP

Dr. Samuel Tsebe, a member of the Nasarawa State Independent Electoral Commission (NASIEC), has resigned his membership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and defected to the Social Democratic Party (SDP).

Tsebe, a former member representing Akwanga South Constituency in the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, announced his resignation in Akwanga on Monday.

He said his decision was based on personal reasons and was aimed at pursuing his political ambitions and contributing to the development of his community and the nation.

The NASIEC commissioner disclosed that he had submitted his resignation letter to the APC chairman of his ward, Akwanga West Electoral Ward.

“I resigned to pursue my future political ambition in order to serve my people, my community and the nation at large,” Tsebe said.

The former lawmaker expressed appreciation to the APC and its leadership for giving him the opportunity to serve in various capacities during his time in the party.

He also called on Nigerians to support the SDP ahead of the 2027 general elections, expressing optimism about the party’s prospects.
