Kwara indigenes residing in Kaduna State have commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Nigeria’s security agencies for the successful rescue and safe return of victims abducted from Woro community in Kwara State.
The group, led by Alhaji Nur’deen Olaitan Amodu-Ode, said the victims’ release had brought relief and renewed hope to their families, the Woro community and residents across Kwara State.
In a statement issued on Sunday, Amodu-Ode praised the Federal Government for its continued efforts to tackle kidnapping and insecurity across the country.
He said the successful rescue demonstrated the importance of intelligence gathering, effective coordination among security agencies and decisive action against criminal elements.
“As Kwara indigenes resident in Kaduna State, we consider the safety and security of every Nigerian a collective responsibility,” he said.
The group also commended the security personnel involved in the operation for their courage and professionalism, particularly given the difficult circumstances surrounding the abductions.
While celebrating the safe return of the victims, the group urged the Federal Government and security agencies to strengthen measures aimed at preventing further kidnappings, especially in communities considered vulnerable to attacks.
It also appealed to citizens to continue providing credible and timely information to security agencies to help prevent crime and protect communities.
Amodu-Ode reiterated the group’s appreciation to President Tinubu, the Federal Government and everyone who contributed to the successful rescue operation.
He said the development should encourage Nigerians to work collectively towards building a country where citizens can live, work and travel without fear.
